cilantro, lyrics

I grow cilantro in the summer

I’ve got my orange tree in full bloom

I’ve got my eyes set on another

Lover and I’m thinking about you

Well do you ever stop to wonder

How you’d sound coming off my tongue

Maybe if you weren’t acting oh so clever

You would see I was playing dumb

But baby if we put our heads together

Underneath these summer storms

I think it could get much better

And I undress more when it’s warm

Your summer lover, i want to be

A wonder wonder

Summer lover

Id love to be

My hibiscus scented perfume

Is going to drive you up the wall

This windowed house has so much room

I assume for the both of us to fall

Well did you ever even bother

Givin’ the blues a second glance

Baby if you stopped acting oh so clever

Maybe you’d let me have this dance

But lord if we could swing together

Underneath these fire flies

I think life could get much better

Living reflecting in those eyes

I put lemon in my chicken

Add some rosemary and thyme

I’ve got Lennon in the kitchen

Singing me some hippy rhymes

So Ill ask can you imagine

How you’d feel running up my spine

You could let go and let it happen

And this summer just be mine

Maybe we’d have this salty water

Maybe you’d kiss this sun tanned skin

You’d let me drown I wouldn’t falter

Inhaling all your peach stained lips
